Watching Madeline Grow!

I'm stealing the idea from Kristen and taking a picture of Madeline with the same stuffed animal each month to show how much she is growing! :) Here is Madeline on her 4 week Birthday.

Almost 1 month?!?!?!

Wow.. I can't believe a month has passed already. It has been a blur of feeding, changing, and kind of sleeping but it has been one of the best months of my life. I am so very grateful that Brian has had this time off as well, it certaintly has made everything easier!

We still don't have a schedule but Madeline is sleeping longer at night. We have managed to make it to a restaraunt and to the outlet mall this week and we all survived! We are very grateful that it has been easier to get out of the house!

Madeline fills our life with so much joy and love. It is amazing to see her crack a smile and she made a little coo at Grandpa Solano on May 23rd. :) This week she also really discoverd her mobile and loves the bright colors on her play mat!

Pictures from the week.

Madeline is a huge Nuggets fan. Obviously her favorite player is Chris Anderson!

Madeline loving her mobile, when the music has stopped she lets out a little cry to remind us to rewind it!

Loving her Playmat, the bright colors realy hold her interest.

Madeline's beautiful tootsies. :) Mama is quickly becoming a Shutterbug again!

Madeline has learned...

How to use a pacifier. We waited the recommended 3 weeks, and let me tell you those things are magical! I'm happy she liked the Avent pacifiers because we have about 20! ;)

And as an added bonus, Maddie and Daddy watching the Nuggets game!

Rub-a-dub-dub

Madeline in the tub. Her belly button "stump" fell off and we were able to give Madeline her first real bath. Needless to say as evidenced by the picture she did not enjoy it. She did love her Pooh Bear jammies that Grandma Anita gave her though! Out of all the sleepers she has worn she seemed to like these the best! Thank you Grandma!

Love That Little Girl!

We have survived another week! I can't believe that time is going by so fast! We are starting to develop a schedule and we have made it out of the house for our first extended trip (3 Hours) to Grandma and Grandpa Solano's house. It was nice to go somewhere other than the Doctor's office! Madeline continues to change everyday and her personality is already starting to show through. She's a little princess just like her Mommy and definitely a Daddy's girl. She loves snuggling with us in the glider chair and watching comedies with Mommy and Daddy. Speaking of the glider chair, moving it from her room to ours has netted us a tremendous amount of sleep!

Our First Week Home

Well we have survived our first week home with out too many snafus. We have many rough nights and are both suffering from sleep deprivation. It's a lot of work but is so worth it. Last night Madeline let us sleep 3 hours in a row which we really needed! It is so much fun watching her change by the day, I can sit for hours with her in my arms and stare at her sleeping. It's amazing how much our life has changed in such a short period of time. Brian is such a wonderful father, watching him with her makes me love him in a whole new way. Some people say that children are a burden to a marriage, but I think that with the arrival of Madeline our love for each other has grown.

I've finally found a reason to use our digital SLR and Madeline had her first at home photo shoot.

I love the naked baby shots, I was able to get a few good ones. I have a feeling that she will be my new photography muse.

Mad about Madeline!

We were discharged from the Hospital on Monday and the first nights home have been a lot easier than those first nights in the hospital. I suppose it has a lot to do with the fact that there are no nurses waking you every couple hours. Of course Madeline wakes us every couple hours but it's a whole lot easier when you are in your own house.

Overall, we are feeling a lot better today, a little more rested and less like I'm recovering from major surgery. We are very lucky that Grandma Christy left us with a stocked fridge or we may have gone hungry the past few days! Brian has been amazing helping us adjust to feeding. He has become a pro at adjusting pillows and sanitizing bottles and breast pump parts!

Madeline hasn't figured out her schedule yet, but what can we expect out of a 5 day old? :)

I figured I would post a few photos we have taken over the past few days.

Hello Baby

Madeline Wide Awake

She's Here!

Well I'm sure you have heard it by now, but Madeline made her grand entrance at 7:56 a.m. on May 1st. She weighed in at 6 lbs, 9 oz and was 19 inches long. She's absolutely gorgeous and is a perfect mix of Brian and I.

I haven't been in a blogging mood, since the recovery was a lot harder then I thought it was going to be. She is wonderful gift though, and was totally worth every bit of pain I have gone through.

Last picture of me Pregnant.
